Marketing director APAC.

This newly established role will call for you to retain the end-to-end execution of our Marketing Operations process & strategy. This is a hands-on role responsible for APAC marketing planning, operational execution & the analytics required to support APAC management team in Hanoi, Vietnam. 

To succeed in this role, you’ll also see yourself as an entrepreneur who can approach practical issues with creativity. It will also be obvious you love being immersed in B2B/B2C marketing & know how to drive strategy with consumer insight lead decisions.

(You will also be evaluated on your ability to be successful in the following performance metrics)

Drive overall brand strategy across the region

Develop and share best experiences with local markets

Develop and implement an overall digital strategy

Determine and develop consistent brand guidelines and regional implementation

Establish and manage strong relationships with local markets to drive brand engagement efforts to increase brand awareness and brand advocacy

Spearhead marketing, PR, and regional promotional initiatives

Guide and enable local markets to develop and adopt digital marketing products and platforms to improve effectiveness and efficiencies

Develop regional brand search strategies and SEM optimization plans

Drive analysis of key market trends, consumer insights, and competitors

Prepare on a constant base product performance plan and reports of achieved results, including feasible marketing metrics.

KPI’s include but are not limited by the following within the region:

•           Consistent, timely and quality weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting, analysis and insights;

•           Key marketing metrics agreed with all stakeholders;

•           ROI measures in place for all relevant marketing programs/activities;

•           360 degree reviews from key stakeholders; 

Reporting to Vice President APAC.

A Successful Candidate must possess:

A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or a related field, MBA is a big plus.

Minimum 10 years of experience in Brand Management and Marketing Communications within a regional/international industrial B2B/B2C group.

Stable work experience with a minimum of 3 years in each organization

Strong analytical skills, strategic thinking and commercial acumen

Track record of success in developing local brand strategy & plans

Effective stakeholder management skills and ability to lead through influence

Amicable personality with excellent interpersonal communication skills

Presentation skills with the ability to deliver effectively and convincingly

Structure resources, hire employees, manage expenses to achieve marketing and sales results according to the budget agreement.

Responsible for legal compliance and economic performance of Thailand entity under applicable government regulations and legal environment.

Responsible for Safety, Health, and Environmental protection according to company rules and local legislation for employees and the environment.

Select, manage, and develop agents and distributors.

Responsible for VIP customer management. Establish a long-term relationship to strategic accounts.

Establish reliable relations with key players and decision makers in the medical tourism industry.

Ensures an in-depth understanding about markets, products, and competition in Thailand.

Contribute to the Asia-Pacific Regional Marketing and Sales Strategy and assist in the development and implementation of a strategy for the Thailand market in conformity with the regional strategy.

Accountable for regular and ad hoc assessments and forecasts for Sales and financial performance, manpower & operational performance against budget, financial & operational goals.

Key requirements:

Thai nationality, who speaks fluent English and Thai.

Bachelor Degree majoring in economics or other related fields.

10+ years of Managerial experience in leading and guiding VIP Sales teams with exposure to VIP products is a must.

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills – demonstrable evidence that they can build relationships at all levels of the business, be trusted and known to always act with integrity.

Excellent client facing skills. Able to perform under pressure.

Is in charge of building and leading the relevant team, oversee the functional and operations flow for the country entity, driving business strategy and managing the P&L for the country.

Structure resources, hire employees, initially sales & marketing, manage expenses to achieve marketing and sales results according to budget agreement. 

Build reliable relations with key players and decision makers in the medical tourism industry.

Responsible for legal compliance and economic performance of an Indonesian entity under applicable government regulations and legal environment.

Key requirements:

Bachelor Degree majoring in pharma/medical disciplines or other related fields.

Familiar with the regulatory and competitive environment in the Indonesian market.

10+ years of Managerial experience in leading and guiding teams with preferably 3 - 5 years of experience in pharma business.

Adept at engaging and influencing senior leaders across the public and private sector.

Commercial awareness partnered with a diplomatic and entrepreneurial mindset.

Constantly connected with industry influencers and particularly skilled at opening doors of opportunity, gaining market intelligence and keeping sales team working together efficiently, with intelligence to eloquently convey complex solutions.

Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills, which call for a rational numbers-oriented mind and an excellent instinct for business.

Able to work under high pressure where deadlines and bottom lines are the measures of success and heavy burdens of responsibility are the norm.

Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and highly proficient in verbal and written communication skills in English.
